About Me

I've been coding websites for over 20 years, starting with a simple website hosted on Earthlink back in 1996 when frames and Netscape were all the rage. I entered The University of Scranton in 1997 as a Computer Science major where we explored CS fundamentals using Pascal & Ada. Since graduation I’ve been working at a market research company in NJ where I am the Director of Programming. I primarily work on the frontend (HTML, CSS, Javascript, JQuery) but also do some backend work using Microsoft SQL, C#/ASP, & Visual Basic as need be.
I'm enjoy learning new systems & styles to solve whatever problem is on hand. In my personal time I have written programs for the Arduino (precision control servo based on color sensed by camera), launched a few websites (see the portfolio page), created a couple games in Unity & I'm starting to to dive into some machine learning with Tensorflow. Anything that I find compelling may end up in the blog section, so keep an eye out for updates and more in depth descriptions of some of my projects.
About This Page

This site is built on a Node.JS & Express stack. I am using MySQL database and everything you see is loaded dynamically from the database. I am using Handlebars for page templating and Bootstrap to help with the CSS. I have programmed my own fully functional CMS (Content Management System), secured with a username & password, which I use to update all of the site content as well as manage the blog comments and any contact requests.
All images that you see are hosted on Amazon S3 which is integrated via the CMS. This application is running on Heroku's cloud platform. The domain is registered through Google domains.
